My Huizenmarkt.nl review: Huizenmarkt.nl is not so easy to use as an expat. I had to input a fake dutch adress to register and the website is only in dutch. Support by email was ok. In Amsterdam where I was looking it is hard to find something so I sent a lot of messages for a month and managed to find something.
Overall the proces of finding a house is difficult in The Netherlands but my experience with huizenmarkt.nl was positive besides the points mentioned earlier.

-cheap option to find a house compared to a broker (but more work)

-takes time to find a good rental
