I agree 100%, I had the same bad experiences. Before I paid for the site there were many interesting ads, and when I paid I discovered that none were available. Wouldn't it be fairer to pay only IF/WHEN we find a place? As in other countries....
And couldn't you send an automatic renewal message, since obviously many people pay without knowing it? 42 for not finding anything and not even receiving any replies is very expensive. The housing situation in Groningen is very bad especially for foreign students who can't come early and visit places, but why take advantage of this situation?
